In a new episode of the 35th season of the cult series ‘The Simpsons’, Homer greeted his new neighbor with a handshake, noting that his tight grip would be the result of regularly strangling his son Bart. In the same breath, however, the father of the family promised that these times were now over – and that from now on he would no longer lay hands on Bart.
The scene was especially impressive (earlier ) went viral and prompted numerous media outlets – including us – to report on the topic. Now the ‘Simpsons’ creators themselves responded to the scene, accusing social media in particular of turning a mosquito into an elephant. Because such as co-creator and producer of “Simpsons”. [Bart] will remain suffocated – if you want to use that awful phrase. He will continue to be loved by his father in that very special way.”
In fact, many fans noticed that Homer had not strangled his son in numerous episodes. The last time this would have happened was in the 31st season episode “The Winter of Our Monetized Pleasure.” So it remains to be seen if and when we can see Homer take this controversial educational measure against his son again.
From November 22, the 34th season of “The Simpsons” can be seen on Disney+ in this country. Only recently was it confirmed that the cult series will be renewed for a 36th season.
