One of the Toughest FSK-18 Series Continues: Fan Favorite Thought Dead Returns for New ‘Spartacus’ Series

‘Spartacus’ is rightly celebrated FSK-18 entertainment: The gladiator’s life story is an uncompromising series in the style of ‘Game Of Thrones’, focusing on violence, drastic deaths, sex and intrigue in the Roman Empire. storyline. So it’s no wonder fans are still clamoring for more, even years after the end of last season.

It has been known for some time that the series will have a sequel, but so far there has been little concrete information in terms of story, title and cast. Now there is finally more concrete information about the ‘Spartacus’ successor and in particular The news will likely put a smile on the faces of many fans.

Ashur returns!

American pay-TV channel STARZ has now given the green light to production of the latest offshoot of the ‘Spartacus’ universe. This is called “Spartacus: House of AshurThose familiar with the subject will be immediately struck by the title, as Ashur is a well-known character from the original production.

Ashur is an absolute fan favorite: The former gladiator with walking problems was one of the most cunning characters in the series and always seeks his advantage in political developments – but in the original series he actually fell in a duel against Naevia. How is returns possible?

The series wonders what would have happened if Ashur had not died on Mount Vesuvius, but had instead been given the gladiatorial school that once belonged to Batiatus (John Hannah) in exchange for his help to the Romans. An exciting question, and of course it would be Return of the figure without Nick Tarabay only half as much fun. The actor will reprise his role as a manipulative villain in ‘Spartacus: House of Ashur’.

The creator of the original series is also present again

It also bodes well that original series creator Steven S. DeKnight is back on board for the sequel as writer and executive producer. As such, fans can expect the sequel to match the tone of the original series and for things to be uncompromising and quite brutal.

There is no start date yet for “Spartacus: House of Ashur.” However, the series is unlikely to hit screens before early 2025. Until then, if you want to revisit the original series, you can currently find all three seasons on Amazon Freevee. You can even stream this for free, but you’ll have to put up with commercial breaks.
