In ‘The Beekeeper’, Jason Statham takes on the role of a man seemingly completely devoted to beekeeping. But when his neighbor (Phylicia Rashad) loses all her money in a phone scam, the bees have to wait. Now the man’s focus is on revenge as he takes on an organization more powerful than he originally imagined.
But his opponents soon discover that they are not dealing with a simple beekeeper from the country, but with a battle-hardened special agent who belongs to a mysterious organization called the “Beekeepers”.
“The Beekeeper” was directed by David Ayer. The director made a name for himself in the past with action thrillers such as ‘Sabotage’ or ‘Street Kings’, but was also responsible for directing ‘Suicide Squad’, ‘Heart of Steel’ and ‘Bright’. The script was written by Kurt Wimmer, the creator of Equilibrium.
In addition to Jason Statham and Phylicia Rashad (“The Bill Cosby Show”), Emmy Raver-Lampman (“Blacklight”), Josh Hutcherson (“Five Nights At Freddy’s”), Bobby Naderi (“Under the Shadow”), Minnie Driver (” Good Will Hunting”) and Jeremy Irons (“The Inseparables”) are part of the ensemble. The film will be released in German cinemas on January 11, 2024.
Jason Statham will pick up next year where he left off in 2023. This year, he appeared alongside Sylvester Stallone in “The Expendables 4,” as well as “Operation Fortune,” “Fast & Furious 10” and “Meg 2: The Depths.”
