Even if you’re used to it in Marvel’s comic book adaptations, “The Boys” and its spinoff “Gen V” usually don’t have end credits scenes that are delayed after the actual episodes. A slight exception was the first episode of “Gen V”, which basically just followed a trailer for the rest of the season (although it was at least introduced by Vought boss Ashley).
Even greater is the danger that “Gen V” viewers will immediately tune out after the cliffhanger at the end of the season finale (which sets the tone for the already confirmed second season). But we can only advise against this, as you will miss a big “The Boys” surprise!
‘The Boys’ Arch Enemies in ‘Gen V’ Finale
Even before the credits roll, the makers of “Gen V” have a real treat in store for all “The Boys” fans. After several supporting characters from the main series dropped by for guest appearances over the course of the season, the big guns now come out in the finale: none other than Seven leader Homelander (Antony Starr) makes a cameo appearance at Godolkin University and ends the bloody ruckus at the Campus in the usual devilish way. But that’s not all, the credits go one step further.
After going through the names of director, author and producer, we’ll come back at once Mid-credit scene back to the now deserted forest under the Supe-Uni. And Billy Butcher actually participates in this (Karel Stedelijk), leader of the titular Anti-Supe team from the main series, takes a closer look at the site of the cruel virus experiments (it could also have been Butcher who called Grace Mallory in episode 7 after her meeting with Dean Shetty):
With Homelander and Butcher’s surprise cameos in the final minutes, “Gen V” gives us THE two big antagonists of “The Boys” at the end of Season 1 (even if they’re not together) and also teases the fourth season to date. some extent to the main series, which is expected to debut on Amazon Prime Video in 2024 – and with the events at Godolkin University likely to play at least a peripheral role.
