‘Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage’ was released in German cinemas almost exactly two years ago – in the middle of the corona pandemic. Many fans of the series did not have the opportunity – or did not want to see the film in a room full of people at that time for understandable health reasons. Distance rules or not. Naturally, many are even more impatiently waiting for the symbiote with a heart to return to the big screen.
When the actors’ strikes broke out in Hollywood, there was widespread concern that the wave of blockbuster postponements could also impact “Venom 3.” The start date for the program is currently July 11, 2024 Kelly Neville staged blockbuster – but this date should be viewed with caution as filming is still currently paused due to the ongoing strike in Hollywood. Time will tell whether the announced theatrical release can be maintained.
What is ‘Venom 3’ about?
Little is known about the plot of “Venom 3”. — but that hasn’t stopped fans and media from eagerly speculating and seeing every little thing as a clue to the possible plot of “Venom 3.” A video recently appeared on Sony Britain’s official TikTok channel in which a clever combination of scenes made it look like the Tom Hardy Venom was acting with the Venom from the Sam Raimi films (played by Topher Grace).
This funny video immediately fueled speculation that there could be a meeting between the two characters in the next one – it didn’t help that the video was immediately taken down.
And while such an encounter doesn’t necessarily have to happen, a multiverse adventure for anti-hero Venom doesn’t seem that unlikely. – after all, the MCU is currently in the era of parallel realities and in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” we could already see in the end credits scene that not only Peter Parker (Tom Holland) had to deal with the consequences of his actions, but Venom was also affected by it (and even a small piece of the symbiote remained in the parallel world).
It will probably be some time before we finally know what opponents and dangers the loud but lovable anti-hero will face. Until then, luckily you can keep speculating. If you’d like to revisit ‘Venom’ and its sequel, you can currently find the films on Netflix.
