Frozen peaches and Parmesan-like grated tomatoes, baked white pasta or the infamous banana bread: Food trends that sometimes seem more or less tempting are constantly taking over social media.

A new idea has been going viral for several weeks. Influencer Janelle Flom shows her mom and best friend on the drive to McDonald’s on her Tiktok account “Janelleandkate.” On the center console between the two front seats, two women create a coupe torn apart from their arrangement.

French fries instead of spoons

The unusual combination of ingredients is sensational. The women first dip six cornets filled with ice cream sundaes into the Tupperware box they brought with them. They mix everything into a mass with a spoon.

You crumble the cookies with chocolate chips and mix them. Then the women sprinkle the sugar particles they brought with them over the puree dessert and pour chocolate sauce on it. Now the highlight: The two friends eat the dessert not with their spoons, but by dipping french fries into it!

The video is going viral on Tiktok: It now has over 12 million views, over 1.1 million likes, and over 11,000 comments. “I was totally into this, right down to the fries,” one user writes under the video. Another added: “Oh my god, why didn’t I think of this before?” he commented. One user asked: “What did they drink?” he asks. And: “I need this too. Now!” reads another comment.

The trend finds many imitators

In the comments below the Tiktok video, users often express their surprise that the two mothers even found a McDonald’s branch with a working ice cream machine: The joke going around online is that they’re always out of order.

The Monster Coupe is now available in different variants: Imitators have outdone each other in trim levels. Some top the ice cream mixture with applesauce instead of cookies, and some garnish it with caramel or other sweet toppings. The news portal “Good Morning America” also reported about the strange sweet creations of the two friends.
