Expo Crafts is celebrating its three decades

On its 30th anniversary, Expo craft, will support more than 70 Panamanian and foreign artisans.

The International Arts and Crafts Fair will be held from October 27 to 29 at the ATLAPA Congress Center from 12:00 to 20:00.

Ileana de Wong, director of Expo Crafts, highlighted this year’s special edition, when they celebrate 3 decades.

“During the three days of the fair, we will have more than 70 exhibitors displaying their creations, along with activities such as a children’s area and an array of restaurants serving typical Panamanian and international food,” he commented.

Besides, they will be present participating foundations, who will develop various fundraising activities and promote their work throughout the year.

Participating foundations include FRATER and Fundación Latidos.

According to Fanny Wong, director of FRATER, participation in Expo Crafts is an opportunity to show the public that people with disabilities have more opportunities than limitations.

“Our goal is to reach other people with disability and show that life does not end because of disability. We stand for an inclusive society, that’s why we love Expo Crafts”, he pointed out.

The Latidos Foundation, for its part, supports children with congenital heart disease, providing emotional and financial support to their parents before, during and after operations.

“We provide guidance and support to parents who have experienced the experience of giving birth to children with heart defects. Through ExpoManualidades we promote family ventures, where mothers can showcase their talents and raise funds for their children’s future surgeries,” he explained.

Expo Crafts will also highlight the importance of inclusion through an inclusive exercise presented by young Aileen Wong from Hong Kong. This session promotes safe and fun exercise for people of all ages and abilities, including those with special abilities.

Admission to Expo Crafts is $3.50 for adults and Free entry for children up to 8 years old.
