Finalists of the Solutions for the Future program

Students from Belize, Ecuador and Venezuela are finalists of the regional program Solve for Tomorrow 2023.

The three final teams will be the protagonists of the majority exciting and the decisive stage of this competition, which will take place on October 26 in the capital of Panama.

During individual presentations, initiatives of three teamsThey will be evaluated on the basis of the criteria previously established in the basis of the tender.

The jury will consist of representatives of government and private entities, social and educational organizations, as well as Samsung Electronics staff.

Finalists

A team from Belize, composed of students from Palloti High School, has designed an intelligent device that can be used by blind people to help them move around more easily, especially avoiding accidents while moving and doing their daily tasks.

The second goal of this team is also very important and will be one of the most important arguments which they will reinforce in front of the qualifying jury to win the competition: Smart cane and glasses SMARTZ strives to go further and encourage the self-esteem and high motivation of these people to achieve their goals and their social integration.

They are students from Ecuador Educational Unit Calasanz Fiscomisional. They created a playful and educational method of “Traditional digital games without borders”, intended for the school population diagnosed with Down’s syndrome, Asperger’s syndrome, autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, among other obligations of a cognitive nature.

For this purpose, it is proposed to save and preserve traditional Latin American games, in a digital format in favor of the inclusion of these people, with the criteria of visual, auditory and motor accessibility.

This team will be familiar with the benefits of this idea enthusiasm and conviction before the jury in order to become winners.

Students of the Lyceum from Guaiqueríes sports talent, located on Margarita Island, Venezuela, have created a system to detect gas leaks in homes or businesses and, if positive, send visual, audible alerts and digital notifications.

The goal is to avoid accidents using the device GasAlert, and with this invention they want to stand out as the most deserving project in this year’s competition.

Fact

Solutions for the future, which turns 10 years old this year, is an initiative of Samsung Electronics.
