As her regular press spokesperson R. Couri Hay explained on the American portal “Page Six”, actress Suzanne Somers has died as a result of her cancer. The series star would have been 77 years old today, Monday October 16.
In the 1970s, Somers gained fame for her role as Chrissy Snow in the ABC series Jack of Hearts with Two Queens. This was followed by further television and film appearances in “Detective Rockford – Just Call”, “Calahan” and “The Six Million Dollar Man”. Somers played mother Carol in ‘A Strong Family’ from 1991 to 1998.
In addition, there are many supporting and guest roles to be discovered in her work, including in “Serial Mom – Why Doesn’t Mom let the murder happen”, “The Crazy Professor”, “Devil’s Good” or in the comedy “Without Words” from 2001, in which Somers left the screen with a very self-deprecating performance.
Suzanne Somers has been battling cancer on and off since the early 2000s. In addition to a diagnosis of breast cancer, skin cancer also followed. Somers was able to resist the disease for years, but the actor died last Sunday.
