A final chapter that will not disappoint

“Instead of getting tired, it’s better to disappear”, could be the motto of the protagonist of the thousand and one battles experienced by Robert McCall, a bit of the idea of ​​the creative tandem of Antoine Fuqua as a director and Denzel Washington as the protagonist and producer of this saga, his retired CIA agent- e, he travels the world doing good in his own way, i.e. correcting injustices and fighting against spheres of power. What better way to end the saga at its highest point, before it loses its level and the character is consumed by the story.

Followers will enter from the beginning with a mood of nostalgia for the last time.

What can be said at this moment about the monumentality of Washington? His demeanor, his artistic choices added to what filtered out of his assistance to other actors and artistic community. IN Robert McCall found a good man, whom injustice leads to the path of “creating things”. A superhero, flesh and blood, with weapons and means and ready to do anything, because he has them.

This final part takes place in Italy, and although it may have fallen into Manichaeism Hollywood in order to show Europe and its miseries, without looking at the dirty laundry from home, the film always teeters on the edge of the abyss, like the city where the protagonist ends up: Altamonte (a fictitious name, but close to Naples in the story) with all its neighbors and idiosyncrasies, of course would fall into that false trap.
