The FSK 18 highlights on Amazon Prime Day
Friends of cannibal cinema, for example, should be happy about this Trilogy ‘Hannibal Lecter’ with Anthony Hopkins. The set of three consisting of “The Silence of the Lambs”, “Hannibal” and “Red Dragon” is already available for just under twelve euros on Blu-ray – uncut of course:
Of “Band Of Brothers – We were like brothersYou’ll also have the opportunity to catch up on what is probably the most terrifying World War II story of all time. The 10-hour masterpiece by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks is still considered one of the best (mini)series ever. Of course, the intense experience should not be missing from the FILMSTARTS all-time ranking.
Is “Lethal Weapon 5” really coming? That does not seem entirely certain after the death of director Richard Donner. With the “Lethal weapon“-Collection, which combines the first four adventures of Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) and Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover), does nothing wrong by any means. Certainly not for a price of 14 euros for the Blu-ray version:
Of “Dawn of the dead“ DC director Zack Snyder not only gave us a remake that can stand on its own, but also one of those films that revived the zombie genre in the 2000s. The bloody horror actor is still convincing today – and is currently so only 7.77 euros in the director’s cut on Blu-ray to have:
It’s less gory, but more revealing “Californian“ Unpleasant. David Duchovny is an absolute delight as a failed, sex-addicted author for seven seasons. Currently there is Blu-ray complete box for just under four euros (!) per season.
Once even indexed, but now available in full with an 18 release: John Woo’s action masterpieceA better tomorrow II“ with Chow Yun-Fat – which, not only for FILMSTARTS editor Björn Becher, is one of the best action films ever. With the Mediabook you currently save almost 20 percent:
Also indexed for a long time and now available uncut “Sheet“ – the cult vampire actor starring Wesley Snipes, from the Marvel era long before the MCU. You can even get the film for just under 15 euros in 4K*. The Blu-ray trilogy is already available for 18.99 euros:
However, one tip for which we definitely recommend the Ultra HD version “Watchmen“, for which you currently only have to pay around 15 euros. The visually stunning superhero epic is not only brilliant in quality, but also… in the no less than three and a half hour Ultimate Cut that local comic fans had to wait years for.
And ‘Frighteners’ from ‘Lord of the Rings’ creator Peter Jackson is now available at a lower price – for anyone not willing to dig deeper into their pockets for the ultimate version of the film. Of course, the ghost fun with Michael J. Fox is always fun, but especially in the version available exclusively at Turbine Medien 4K edition* including the theatrical version, director’s cut and numerous exclusive extras. It is not without reason that the author of this article considered the publication one of the great home cinema highlights of the previous year.
