The Youth Ingenuity 2023 National Science Fair has already started in Panama and will last until September 29.
In total 102 girls and 71 boys, from the Bocas del Toro region, Chiriquí, Coclé, Colón, Comarca Ngäbe Buglé, Darién, Herrera, Los Santos, Guna Yala, Panamá Centro, Panamá Este, Panamá Oeste, San Miguelito and Veraguas with 88 research projects developed in the fields of biology, environmental science, life science computing , social and behavioral sciences, physics and mathematics, engineering and technology, chemistry, health and medicine.
Projects participating in this fair are evaluated by a national commission of evaluators and international, to select projects that will participate in various national and international scientific activities, added Dr. Ortega Barría.
At the end of the fair, winning projects in all thematic areasand the first three places in each will get a week of academic-scientific practice, while the first three places in the whole fair will represent the country in international scientific/academic activities.
Visitors will be able to appreciate, for free, the exhibition of innovative projects present in this version, as well as see different ones stands related institutions and organizations. In addition, they will be able to learn about different museums, which have been added to scientific actions within the “Young Scientists” program.
Senacyt coordinators will provide information to visitors about our national and international invitational programs and various activities in which science, technology and innovation are protagonists.
This educational event is being held at the Marriott Panama Hotel (Albrook Mall), on Wednesday, September 27 and Thursday, September 28 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while on Friday the 29th it will be from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m
Admission will be free, open to the public, and it is expected to serve as motivation for other young people to get involved in scientific activities and participate in the Competition for Young Scientists, which closes on October 10.

The National Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (Senacyt), with the support of the Ministry of Education (Meduca), organizes this fair.
