That’s what “Sebastian Fitzek’s The Therapy” is about
Psychiatrist Viktor Larenz (Stephan Kampwirth) has reached the end of his powers. Two years ago, his 13-year-old daughter Josy (Helena Zengel) disappeared under mysterious circumstances. There are no witnesses, no traces and no body. Viktor then decides to retreat to a holiday home in the wilderness, but the pain is simply too deep to get over the loss.
He isolates himself more and more from the outside world until an unknown woman (Emma Bading) suddenly appears at his door and asks for psychiatric help. She is plagued by mysterious delusions that are eerily reminiscent of Josy’s disappearance. Are her visions fiction or is there a spark of reality hidden in the chaos of thoughts? The first therapy sessions turn into a search for the truth.
