550 flats: Kriens LU gives approval for high-rise building

class=”sc-29f61514-0 icZBHN”>

Visualization of the revised high-rise project.

There is currently construction going on in the area where Pilatus Markt shopping mall used to be located. According to investors, 550 flats and 11,000 square meters of commercial space are planned. The city of Kriens announced on Thursday that the first phase of apartments is occupied and the second phase is under construction.

A high-rise building is planned to be built on a construction site, but this also faces criticism. The building owner later fundamentally revised the project, the municipality of Kriens said. The volume has been reduced. Now a two-part building is planned: a greenish 18-storey part and a reddish eight-storey part.

The city council writes that the revised project is optimally integrated into the built and landscape environment. It determines the desired emphasis, but becomes distant in appearance in the residential area.
