Due to a bomb threat, the world premiere of the documentary ‘Lil Nas’ will take place. A TIFF press spokeswoman confirmed this on Sunday (local time) upon request. Toronto police investigated the red carpet outside Roy Thomson Hall prior to the screening.
Meanwhile, singer Lil Nas “As far as we know, it was a general threat that was not directed at the film or the artist,” the TIFF spokeswoman said. Directed by Carlos López Estrada and Zac Manuel, the film documents the musician’s eight-month 2022 tour for his debut album “Montero.” (sda/dpa)
