It’s all interconnected: Kevin Feige and the other brains behind the MCU are known to operate in so-called phases. But there is still a story about each of these phases. Three stages result in a saga, at the end of which there is a grand conclusion. The first three stages formed the Infinity Saga – with “Avengers: Endgame” as the grand finale.
This is now followed by the Multiverse saga – and the titles say it all: in the first three phases it was the infinity stones that were always present in the background and closely associated with the great threat (Thanos and his plan), now it is for the next three phases, the multiverse. At the moment we are still at the beginning, namely in the fourth phase overall. However, this will soon come to an end with “Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever” in theaters (start: November 9, 2022).
Therefore, Black Panther 2’s end credits scene is expected to hold a particularly big reveal going forward. Like ten years ago with “The Avengers” at the end of the first phase, “Black Panther 2” at the end of the fourth phase should also give a clearer picture of the great threat in the background. But unlike before, we now know a lot about it in advance.
Were then “Avengers 3: Infinity War” and “Avengers 4: EndgameFar away and not even known to the public as an existing saga ending, we already know that Avengers 5 and Avengers 6 will mark the end of the Multiverse saga. And we already know the titles: “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” and “Avengers: Secret Wars”. And they tell us a lot.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty from Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania writer Jeff Loveness and Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton make it clear from the title that Kang, played by Jonathan Majors, will be the focus. After his introduction in “Loki” (still here as He-Who-Remains) he has a big role in the upcoming “Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania” (which is why it goes without saying that Jeff Loveness is writing the screenplay again) .
The dynasty in the title invites us at the end that we don’t get to see just one Kang. The character is legendary because it travels wildly through time and thus exists in different places and times. Many variants of Kang could thus come together – possibly also (think of the title of the saga) from different corners of the multiverse.
You can learn more about Kang in the following video from our Marvel expert Sebastian:
In his video, Sebastian also speculates that a Kang variant could be the legendary Marvel villain Doctor Doom. Whether it’s a Kang version or a character of its own (which the author of these lines tends to believe in), we can certainly count on Doom as (another) Thanos-esque powerhouse in the background.
currently at “Avengers: Secret Wars‘ from ‘Loki’ and ‘Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness’ author Michael Waldron (the director’s cast is currently unknown), Doctor Doom could star. He also has that in the comic of the same name.
Simply put, this is about the great conflict between the different universes and the characters who live in them. The raids plagued in “Doctor Strange 2”, which are by no means accidental, play a big part (you see, the author’s choice is clear here too), causing all the multiverses to collide and collapse and end up just one of them. survives and can continue to exist. Thus, a gigantic war develops against which the finale of “Endgame” is a kindergarten.

How many heroes Marvel could collect here (and each in different variants) will blow the fans’ socks off. and meanwhile, with all the movies and series, there’s also quite a lot of staff to really bang on here. This will certainly ensure that the finale in “Secret Wars” will once again outperform the sheer size of “Endgame”.
Our Marvel expert Sebastian tells you even more about the history of “Secret Wars” in a video that incidentally was shot right after “Doctor Strange 2”, when the announcement hadn’t been made (so don’t be surprised he wasn’t on this one). reference has been waiting and still speculating about it).
However, these two films are still a long way off. “Avengers 5: The Kang Dynasty‘ is scheduled to hit theaters on April 30, 2025’Avengers 6: The Secret Wars“ Then a good year later at the beginning of May 2026. On October 16, 2022 you can meanwhile “Avengers: Endgame‘ on TV (at 8.15 pm on Sat. 1) and ‘Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever“ will hit theaters on November 9.
