The Pixar animated film “Elemental” has become a real sleeper hit in the cinemas. After the family adventure, which earned a strong 4 out of 5 stars in the FILMSTARTS rating, initially labeled a flop, the Disney film gradually grew into a success. ‘Elemental’ is currently running exclusively in cinemas, but will soon conquer the streaming world as well.
Because Disney + has now revealed the streaming start of ‘Elemental’ in a relatively short period of time – as part of a major discount campaign for the subscription to its own streaming service. “Elemental” will be available next week on Disney+ starting September 13, 2023!
It’s no exaggeration that Disney+ has declared September Blockbuster Month, as can be read in the US promo for the mega deal – because today, September 6, the live-action “Arielle” was released there, fresh as a sparkling water.
The offer: Disney+ is now available for three months for €1.99 per month. After that, the subscription is automatically extended to the premium subscription of 11.99 euros per month, which can be canceled monthly if not cancelled. The offer does not only apply to new customers, but also if you already had a subscription. But beware: the promotion only runs until September 20, 2023! So you have to act quickly.
Another highlight awaits you in the coming weeks, such as the second season of the Marvel series ‘Loki’, which starts on October 6, 2023 on Disney +.
“Elemental”: Beautifully animated and fast
In “Elemental”, the town of Element City is home to creatures descended from the four elements of earth, water, air, and fire. The fire girl Ember Lumen doesn’t really like the water boy Wade Ripple at first, after all they are completely different. But a shared adventure brings them closer together…
The conclusion of our four-star review from FILMSTARTS editor-in-chief Christoph Petersen: “At last, another prototypical Pixar film for anyone who particularly appreciates films like “Inside Out” from the studio’s constantly groundbreaking catalog (except that the once again magnificently animated “Elemental” with its consistently fast pace is even more aimed at a younger cinema audience ).”
