New on Netflix this week: Competition for “Harry Potter”, bloody historic carnage for “Vikings” fans & new series from a Marvel star

Netflix will offer many new series and movies for streaming in the week of October 17 to 23, 2022. We’re picking the raisins for you and also showcasing what could be especially rewarding this week, from the fantasy adventure “The School For Good And Evil” to the battle epic “Barbarians” Season 2.

Monday: Quiet start to the week

Friday: “Barbarians” season 2 & a new series with Zoe Saldana

It’s on Friday with the German history series “Barbarians”., which became an international hit. Fans had to wait two years for season 2 – but for friends of a bloody historic carnage, at least the “Vikings” offshoot “Vikings: Valhalla” was on Netflix in the meantime.
