University cinema: films and special events

The University Cinema Hall, located at the University of Panama, shows moviegoers the best of the seventh art with three daily screenings and free admission.

Alternative cinema presents an exemplary “International Film Retrospective” with titles such as “Boy”, “Innocent”, “Woman” and two special activities.

One title will be shown each day, there will be three parts (3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.), it started with “Dječak” at the beginning of the week and then with “Los Inocentes”, however, there is still a lot to see until the end of the week.

For this Wednesday, July 19, “Shortfest”is a special activity organized by first-year students degree in journalismthe doors will be open for citizens from 3:00 p.m

It’s July 20th programmingthe French title will be presented “woman” (“Una Femmina: Code of Silence”) by Francesco Costabile and starring Lina Siciliano and Fabrizio Ferracane.

The story is based on real events. Calabria, in the extreme south Francea woman discovers a connection between her family and organized crime, she must decide whether to continue inside.

To finish with the sample, on July 21, a special activitywill introduce himself Festival Panama Seriesfrom 15:00 to 19:00, where the best web series and short films will be screened and awarded.

As part of official election “Destrvctivo” (Mexico), “Far Away” (Germany), “Mr. Covid” (India), “Superposition”, “Deja vú” (Panama) and other titles.

The festival will conclude Awards ceremony.

A few months ago, the university cinema hall celebrated its 45th anniversary, it is the first and only free one alternative cinema in the country with the purpose of a general community with tools for understanding and analyzing the world and the environment through the seventh art.
