Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin and Swedish-Syrian painter Jwan Yosef have announced that they are divorcing after six years of marriage, both artists confirmed to People magazine.
“We both decided to end our marriage with love, respect and dignity our four children and remembering what we experienced as a couple for all these wonderful years,” Martin and Josef said in statements to the publication.
They added: “Now our biggest wish is to continue having healthy family dynamics and a relationship centered on peace and friendship, to continue this community by educating our children, preserving the respect and love we have for each other.”
martin announced January 10, 2018 that Yosef and he got married, after 2 years of dating.
The Puerto Rican singer announced the news in a statement to a news show ‘AND! News’, from the American channel E! Entertainment television.
“I am the husband, but we will make a lot of money party for a couple of monthss. I will let you know,’ Martin said then.
As a couple, they had two children: Lucia, born in 2018. and Renn, who was born in 2019.
Martin has two more children: twins Matteo and Valentino, born in 2008.
The Puerto Rican performer will hold his “symphonic” concert on August 26 and 27 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José M. Agrelot.
In this case he will be accompanied Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra for the first time in a show.
