The store Alternate.de, which is mainly known for PC hardware, sells the Samsung Neo QLED QN92B in 75 inches (approx. 191 cm) for only 1599 euros. So you save no less than 500 euros on the recommended price. According to price comparison portals such as Idealo.de, this top-rated 4K TV has never been cheaper.
Good to know: The Samsung Neo QLED QN92B is very similar to the more common model QN90B, which received very good reviews in various trade magazines. The difference: In contrast to the QN90B, the QN92B has the better Micro Dimming, which optimizes color, contrast and image sharpness. So it is slightly ahead in terms of image quality. In addition, the 92B has a better anti-reflection coating.
Samsung Neo QLED QN92B: The alternative to OLED TVs
The magazine hifi.de tested the almost identical Samsung QN90B and concluded that the Samsung Neo QLED has “very good image quality with lots of brightness and excellent contrast”. You can therefore use the Samsung TV in a bright room with lots of daylight without any problems. Only top-end OLEDs like that LG G3* achieve higher brightness.
Many smart TV features: Samsung shows no weaknesses and equips the QN92B with a huge selection of apps, which you can access via the in-house Tizen operating system. There’s also voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The user interface is reminiscent of Amazon’s popular Fire TV streaming stick.
Good equipment: The Neo QLED TV is also well equipped in other respects: four HDMI 2.1 connections and an eARC interface provide enough space for PS5, Xbox, Blu-ray player and soundbar. Of course, HDR is also included for rich colors and higher dynamic range. Samsung continues to rely on HDR10 and HDR10 +. Unfortunately, Dolby Vision support is missing.
Amazingly good sound: Many televisions have a wafer-thin sound with hardly any surround sound, but that is not the case here. Samsung installs a 4.2.2 speaker system with 60 watts. You get Object Tracking Sound+ (OTS+) that follows the objects on the screen. There’s even true Dolby Atmos with built-in top channel speakers. However, the sound doesn’t come close to Sony’s Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology, which you’ll find in the Sony OLED A80K* can enjoy.
Hisense’s affordable 75-inch alternative
If you’re looking for a 75-inch TV and want to save a little more, it’s worth taking a look at the manufacturer HiSense. The Hisense 75E7KQ offers excellent technical equipment for just under 1300 euros.
A QLED display is also installed here, which precise contrasts and rich colors appears. In addition, there is HDMI 2.1, HDR10 +, Dolby Vision and even the adaptive HDR technology Dolby Vision IQ, so you don’t have to choose between Dolby Vision or HDR10 + as with many manufacturers. Plus there’s solid sound with Dolby Atmos. An all-round successful package at a low price.
