12 movies and series to watch in July

Are you staying at home during your summer vacation? With these highlights from films and series, you are guaranteed not to be bored.

A lot is happening this month, especially in the cinema. Three highly anticipated movies are coming out: “Oppenheimer”, “Barbie” and the new “Mission Impossible”. This way you already have a bad weather program for your summer holiday.

A month after the first episodes of the third season of “The Witcher” appeared, Netflix is ​​releasing the second part, including the season finale. Yennefer was put in charge of Ciri’s magical training after the events of season two. They head to Aretuza’s fortress, where they hope to learn more about Ciri’s previously unknown powers.

This is the last season with Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. After that, Liam Hemsworth takes over the role.

The second part of the third season will start on July 27.

The second season can be seen from July 14.

The latest film “Mission Impossible” will be shown in German-speaking Swiss cinemas from July 13.

Based on true events, «Oppenheimer» tells the story of physicist and father of the atomic bomb, Robert Oppenheimer (played by Cillian Murphy). He played a crucial role in the development of nuclear weapons in the 1940s. But after seeing the destruction this weapon can cause, he condemned its use.

The film can be seen in Swiss cinemas from July 20.
