To date, three games hold the record for the most expensive playing cards ever auctioned:

Youtuber Logan Paul (28) bought “Pokémon Illustrator Pikachu” for over US$5 million and wore it around his neck during a boxing match. The purchase has been tracked and certified by Guinness World Records.

“Tournament Black Glitter Soldier” from the “Yu-Gi-Oh” collection went to the highest bidder for approximately two million US dollars. This card was presented as a prize to the winners of the 1999 «Yu-Gi-Oh» tournaments.

And Magic’s most expensive card to date was the Alpha Black Lotus, which sold for half a million dollars. The special thing about the card was that it was signed by card designer Christopher Rush (1965-2016).
