Smoking weed for research: that’s what’s behind Swiss pilot tests

class=”sc-29f61514-0 jbwksb”>

Once marijuana is available for free, pilot tests will begin in several Swiss cities in 2023 to investigate the consumption behavior of drunkards.

Swiss cannabis policy has failed – so many researchers and politicians in the country believe it. Therefore, new ways to deal with consumer behavior are sought in Switzerland. Pilot tests for this are currently being conducted in several Swiss cities – their aim is to show how controlled access through pharmacies or social clubs affects the consumption behavior of cannabis users.

In this podcast episode, we ask: What does a sensible drug policy look like in Switzerland? How are the current pilot tests going? Where does the legal, THC-rich weed come from? And what do other countries think about Swiss cannabis pilot projects?
