Gloria Trevi presents ‘Medusa’, in ‘techno dance’ style

Mexican singer Gloria Trevi released her new song “Medusa”, her first single as an independent artist and which was held in a “techno dance” sound, according to the press release.

“Medusa” was composed by the singer herself and also bears her signature Bruno Fernández, Manu Chalud, Yoby Zúñigaand Milton J. Restituyo and produced by famous producers Dabruk, Manu Chalud and Alcover.

According to the statement, the lyrics of the song “revolve around a women who lost her light after being betrayed, turning into a stronger woman or medusa, to protect herself from evil.”

Trevi, 55 years old and in the middle of “a A difficult moment in his personal life”, as the note points out, “he sought solace and refuge in the best thing he knows how to do: music”.

“A friend who was with me took me a little deeper into mythological story of this character, between all of us in the studio we researched more about this legend of Greek mythology. I was surprised that I identified with her so much,” said the artist about the Medusa character.

“Within how many people does a person live jellyfish? “Definitely, this mythological figure deserves to have her story told from another angle, where the punishment makes her dangerous, powerful because she is enchanted… and the men who see her become hard… like a rock,” the Mexican added.

“They throw you, step on you, lie to you/And they want you to apologize/They turned their back on me/And not my heart,” says the song’s lyrics.

Characterized as Medusa in a video that will be presented today throughe Tik Tok live and YouTube premieresand which was filmed in Miami, Trevi “crosses the thresholds of space and time visiting different periods and cities”.

So far in 2023, Gloria Trevi has not only become the “highest-earning woman in the Mexico”but continues to show its relevance, power on the scene and popularity to full halls in Mexico and Latin America, the statement added.
