In the Swiss mountains, nature presents itself at its best: green meadows, colorful flowers, chirping chirping, chirping birds and all this in front of a wonderful mountain panorama. Depending on the hike, you might even spot marmots, golden eagles or mountain goats on the way. You can also admire fish in mountain lakes, various species of insects or arctic hares.

There are many exciting facts about real surviving animals and plants. They can withstand both heat and cold. They have developed very different strategies or mechanisms to survive in the mountains. Unfortunately, many species are now threatened. Test your knowledge now in our big nature quiz from last year!
