Festival ‘Alfredo De Saint Malo’: Will there be free concerts?

More than 500 artists in Panama will gather for the seventeenth edition of the Alfredo De Saint Malo International Academic Music Festival (ASMF).

The festival will be organized by Fundación Sinfoía Concertante de Panamá (FUNSINCOPA). from June 21 to July 2, 2023in different city scenarios.

During those 12 days, intensive orchestral rehearsals will take place in interaction close to the local music community and the publicalso achieving exchanges for the professional development of our musicians and positively influencing the cultural tourism and economy of Panama, said Isaac Casal, artistic director of the festival.

In addition, the organizers reported some of his concerts will be free and didactic.

American violinist, Eric Silberger, performs Tchaikovsky with conductor César Leal and the National Symphony Orchestra.

This concert andis free and will be launched on June 28 at the Balboa Theater at 7:30 p.m.

The National Symphony Orchestra Traditionally, this collaboration within the festival is carried out by the Ministry of Culture and the Fundación Sinfoía Concertante de Panamá.

Two didactic concerts will be held June 27 at 10:00 a.m. in the Anita Villalaz Theater i On June 29th at the Balboa Theater at 10:00 a.m. with the goal that all children who wish can attend for free, it will be an hour dedicated to interacting with them.

Other attractions

Bands of wood, brass and saxophones will perform it will be intended for students and younger and advanced musicians who want to integrate different ensembles (woodwinds, brass and saxophone) under the coordination of top international maestros and perform in concert during the festival.

Master courses and workshops
