Applications are already open for the 2023 State Competition in Scientific Journalism, intended for journalists and social communicators in the country.
This competition aims to recognize their work in the dissemination and popularization of science, technology and innovation in Panama, through their publications in the media at the national level.

In addition, it should focus on issues such as: health and scientific research (taking into account the social context and the quality of life of the Panamanian population); Global environmental changes (frequency of climate change in the Republic of Panama); Sustainable development (related to three pillars: environmental, social and economic); and Digital transformation (related to new digital technologies).
In 2023, published journalistic works can participate between March 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023. The competition has four categories.
Applicants can participate in one or more individually, but they will be awarded only in one of the categories, fulfilling the objective of the competition, and must include established topics, developing different journalistic genres such as news, reportage, chronicle or interview.
