When you come here, you can enjoy not only the cuisine awarded with a Michelin star and 17 Gault Millau points, but also a rich wine list with Swiss pearls. How about the 2020 Riesling by Martha and Daniel Gantenbein, and then the 2019 Pinot Noir Chalofe by Tom Litwan?

The well-kept Restaurant Hertenstein is at an elevated position and offers a unique view of Baden AG. In addition to Aargau’s local wine specialties, the wine list offers numerous international delicacies. You should definitely try the on-site bottling Edition Hertenstein 2018, made from Pinot Noir, Cabernet Dorsa and Garanoir grape varieties. Attention: The Hertenstein team is on summer break from July 9-24.

You will find this gem less than five minutes walk from Baden train station. The wine list also leaves nothing to be desired here, offering carefully selected wine specialties from Germany and abroad. With fish, you can treat yourself to 2020 Chardonnay Cru de L’Hopital followed by 2020 Gamay Vieilles Vignes from Valais’ best winery, Cornulus. This Aarau restaurant is just a stone’s throw from Aare. International wine pearls are featured on the wine list, such as the white Etna Bianco DOC from Tenuta delle Terre Nere or the red Lote Especial Pinot Noir Altura Maxima from Bodega Colomé.
