High-profile reinforcement for “Transformers 7”: A Marvel, “Star Trek” – & “James Bond” star joins the cast

Michelle Yeoh and Pete Davidson will star in the upcoming Transformers 7: Rise of the Beasts. That’s what the director of the robo blockbuster Steven Caple Jr. (“Creed II”) now revealed via Instagram.

Michelle Yeoh rose to worldwide fame in the late 20th century with her appearances in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies and the critically acclaimed action film Tiger And Dragon. But in recent years, her career has gotten a huge boost. She was featured in the Marvel movie Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings, as well as the Star Trek series Discovery and the surprise RomCom hit Crazy Rich. She even starred in this year’s indie favorite Everything Everywhere All At Once, and she’s also starring in Avatar 2: The Way Of The Water, which hits theaters in December.

Movies & Series Reduced on Amazon Prime Day: Boxes & Limited Editions* / DVDs and Blu-rays* / Blu-ray 4K & 3D* / TV series* / Anime on DVD and Blu-ray* / independent movies* / Disney 3 for 2*

Pete Davidson, on the other hand, is primarily a comedian, having appeared on the legendary American comedy show Saturday Night Live for years. In recent years, however, he has devoted himself more and more to the film business, has been involved in the DC massacre “The Suicide Squad” and can be seen again in German cinemas from October 27 with the celebrated horror film “Bodies Bodies Bodies”.

These Are Yeoh and Davidson’s “Transformers” Voices

Michelle Yeoh will be the Maximal Airazor for Transformers 7. The Maximals are ancestors of the Autobots, whose designs are based on animals rather than vehicles. Yeoh’s Airazor can turn into a Robo-Falcon.

Pete Davidson, on the other hand, voices the Autobot Mirage aka Dino, who was also involved in “Transformers 3” and can transform into a red Ferrari 458. At the time, he was set to music by Francesco Quinn (“Platoon”), who died shortly after the film’s theatrical release. Davidson is now stepping into his heir and amplifying a voice cast with Ron Perlman as gorilla transformer Optimus Primal.

Of course, all these actors can only be heard in the original English. Our own dubbing actors are being used again for the German dubbing

“Transformers 7: Rise of the Beasts” hits German cinemas on June 8, 2023. Here are the Instagram clips posted by Steven Caple Jr. of the two newcomers:
