“The Expendables 4” is now officially called “Expend4bles” – that was already revealed to us by the first poster published yesterday and we are already told by the insanely stupid and brilliant tagline “They’ll Die When They’re Dead” (in the English: “They will die when they are dead”). We’ve attached the poster for you here:
A first trailer for the action fireworks has now also been released and it makes it clear: even if some of the “Expendables” veterans are missing from the latest part, the tough task force with a new cast really lets it loose! Fans of hard-hitting, old-fashioned action dishes should get their money’s worth again this time around.
This is “Expend4bles”
The now fourth screen excursion of the expendable mercenary has to do without seasoned action icons like Arnold Schwarzenegger and the role of “Expendables” founder Sylvester Stallone should also be considerably smaller this time. Nevertheless, the hard-hitting cracker’s cast list reads very impressively and like a bit of “Who’s Who” of the action genre spanning several decades:
In addition to Sylvester Stallone, who will be succeeded as leader by Jason Statham, the latest installment will also feature 80s icon Dolph Lundgren, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (“Escape Plan 2: Hades”), Tony Jaa (” Triple Threat”), Iko Uwais (“The Raid”), Megan Fox (“Transformers”), Andy Garcia (“Ocean’s Eleven”), Sheila Shah (“Rambo: Last Blood”) and Jacob Scipio (“Bad Boys For Life “) ) to be seen in front of the camera.
Incidentally, “The Expendables 4” was directed by filmmaker Scott Waugh, who was previously responsible for the video game adaptation “Need For Speed” among others, and with the hit “Hidden Strike” starring Jackie Chan and John Cena, another film this year brings start. We’ll know from September 21, 2023 whether “Expend4bles” can eventually compete with its predecessors and how “Meg” star Jason Statham fares as the new leader. Then the mercenary group will cause another riot on the big screen in Germany.
