The material developed by Cupa decorates the space that won the Casa Decor competition

The Galician company Cupa Stone has just participated for the sixth year in a row at Casa Decor, one of the main events in the world of interior and home design. And that is that the materials developed by the company dedicated to the extraction, transformation and commercialization of natural stone were part of the four spaces that competed for one of the three prizes awarded by the organization of the international event. Guillermo Oviedo, general manager of Cupa Stone Iberia, returned to Galicia with the award in hand. Not directly to the company, but to one of the spaces decorated with material from its Terra range, an exclusive collection of granite and quartzite for interior cladding.

So is the design of interior designer Miguel Muñoz, who competed under the title Magnum Lignum, received the award for the best Casa Decora project. It was a bathroom with a mix of textures and materials, such as carpet on the floor, wood on the walls and natural stone in various parts of the space. One of them was Marinella quartzite, which was marketed by Cupa Stone.

In 2018, the Galician company entered the world of interior design with the launch of its own Terra brand. The company emphasizes that each edition of Casa Decora is an opportunity to showcase different, original and creative uses of natural stone, especially for cladding and kitchen countertops.

Along with Miguel Muñoz, Cupa Stone collaborated in Casa Decor with some of the most prestigious interior designers throughout the country, who chose their materials for three other spaces: Retropolitan, by Manuel Espeja; White Gold, Laura Urzanqui; and Around the Table, Asun Antó and Javier Baldrich.
