Etesa sells transformers after receiving an offer of 40,000

The Electric Transmission Company, SA (Etesa) reported this Monday that it has already conducted a public auction for four transformers.

It is emphasized that this step achieves compliance with the process of cleaning portable substations and thereby generates income for the company.

Etesa states that “the auction was conducted in faithful accordance with the provisions established for the use of abandoned property.”

Of the transformers, two were from the Llano Sánchez substation, located in El Roble de Aguadulce, Coclé province, and two from Power and Earth from the Chorrera substation.

A document with specifications for this auction has been published on the portal de Panamá Compra, last March.

The procurement of four transformers was awarded, after an offer of 40,000 thousand dollars was received.

The company ensures that by conducting these public auctions, ETESA achieves the goal of cleaning substations from discarded material.

“Etesa reiterates its commitment to electricity transport and business with high quality standards efficiency in a safe and timely mannerthroughout the country,” the press release states.

An electrical transformer is a static alternating current machine that allows changing current functions such as voltage or intensity while maintaining frequency and power.

Transformers are a key element in the development of the electrical industry.
