Air Europa agreed with the cabin crew to increase their wages by 11.5% over three years

Air Europa reached a preliminary agreement with the unions Sitcpla, CC.OO, this Thursday. and Aacefsi for sign a new collective agreement for its cabin crew (TCP). The text includes salary increase by 11.9% in three years and in the next few days, they will go to the consultations of their subsidiaries for the final approval of the IV Collective Agreement.

The pay increases will be 5% this year — retroactive to Jan. 1 — 4% in 2024 and 2.5% in 2025, plus bonuses for productivity, punctuality and availability goals in 2024 and 2025, according to union sources.. The increase will affect more than 2,000 cabin crew which are part of an airline owned by Globalia and which is in the midst of a merger with IAG, to make company which groups Iberia and British Airways.

This agreement came after two days intensive contacts between Air Europa and the union in order to reach an agreement. The telematic voting period for the ratification of the final text is now opening.

Conflict with the pilots

Although cabin crew managed to reach a pay deal with the company, Air Europa still has to deal with its ongoing conflict with pilots. Namely, six days of strike were announced in May, specifically for days 22, 23, 25, 26, 29 and 30; and two more for June: 1st and 2nd day. This suspension will affect all bases in Spain and adds four days to the strike already supported by pilots at the beginning of May.
