He The first national urban planning forum of Panama in 2023 It began this Monday with the goal of creating a space for dialogue that contributes to improving the quality of life of Panamanians through creative diversification of solutions for access to land and housing financing.
Minister of Housing and territorial planning (Miviot), Rogelio Paredeshe explained that at all regional meetings they noticed that a major housing problem is access to land.
Regarding housing financing, Paredes indicated that a person who drives a taxi produces money every day, but if he goes to the bank, they tell him that he is not subject to credit, so formulas must be found so that they do not depend on the Government in all cases, but rather have a series of solutions.
As for the invasion of the country, the minister claimed that there was only an administrative sanction 25 dollars and added that there is no need for an invasion in Panama, because there are options.
Forum speakers spoke in three panels, the first on multidimensional poverty, gender and integral neighborhood improvement; the second on decentralization and local government: and the third consisted of spatial planning and tourism planning.
During the first day, in parallel with the municipal subject fair, a session was held in the adjacent room with three experts invited by UN-HABITATwith whom a virtual work was held before the forum with the aim of closing and harmonizing the list of potential projects for the Miviot portfolio that each of them had prepared for a given thematic area.
