Galicia received almost half a thousand new companies in March

The creation of companies increased by 17% in the Galician community compared to the same month in 2022.

last march 454 companies were created in the autonomous community of Galicia, which represents an increase of 17% compared to the same month in 2022, while dissolution decreased by 7.2%, with the disappearance of 116 companies, according to data published this Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

12,076 companies were established throughout the country in March8.9% more than in the same month of the previous year, and the liquidation of companies fell by 8.8%, with 2,336 of them disappearing.

According to data from the National Institute of Statistics, of the total number of companies dissolved in March in Spain, 85% did so voluntarily, 8.5% by merger, and the remaining 6.5% for other reasons.

The total capital registered for the establishment of new companies exceeded 525 million euroswith an annual increase of 34.2%, while the average registered capital increased by 23.2% to 43,548 euros.

On the other hand, in March, 2,991 trading companies recapitalized, 4.4% more than in the same month of 2022, with the registered capital falling by 16.3% and reaching 1,856 million euros and the average capital of 620,462 euros, 19, 8% less in annual rate.

18.9 percent of the companies created in March relate to trade, 16.5 percent to real estate, finance and insurance, and 13.3 percent to construction, according to INE.

As for defunct companies, 18.2 percent are trade, 16.6 percent are real estate, finance and insurance, and the same percentage is construction.

The autonomous communities with the highest number of companies created in the third month of the year were Madrid (2,806), Andalusia (2,208) and Catalonia (2,107), and those with the fewest were La Rioja (50), Cantabria (79) and Navarra (86).

As for dissolved companies, those with the highest number were Madrid (812), Andalucía (426) and Comunidad Valenciana (166), while those with the fewest dissolved companies were Navarra (2), La Rioja (16) and Murcia. and Castilla-La Mancha (both with 28).
