Waved announces its first school

Thanks to the enthusiasm for quality education, the perseverance of a competent team and the increasing support received in Panama and abroad, it is an honor to share the results of last year and expect that this 2023 will mark the beginning of Zona Waved, an innovative and ecological project that is the result of 7 years of work in in the field of Panamanian education with the potential to expand to national and regional levels.

Among the general goals for the development of this large project are:

– Build a school in an ecological way and from recycled materials
-Generate a complementary educational program that enables the improvement of physical and academic skills
-To promote values ​​to elementary students in rural schools in the interior of Panama during the calendar year
-Lack of content and/or teaching of school subjects in the public education system, constant interruptions of the school year between November and May, and physical vulnerability due to not knowing how to swim, are some of the points that led us to the development of our school, Zone.

Some of the programs have been announced: Ocean Safety and Ocean Conservation, English and Spanish, Surfing Courses, and at the same time we will prioritize values ​​such as: respect, discipline and self-confidence.

Although our first school will be built on Isla Cañas, in the province of Los Santos, our other zones (San Carlos, Guánico – Cambutal) remain operational and will be zones that we will expand as part of our growth plan.
