Twitter owner Elon Musk admitted this to the BBC Buying the company was “quite painful”, with ups and downsbut that they will sell it if the right person is interested, reports Efe.
The billionaire businessman, who also runs Tesla and SpaceX, bought the social network for $44 billion last October.
“The pain level (of the purchase) was extremely high, this was not a party” and “it was not boring,” Musk added in BBC interview released today.

The businessman admitted that he was The past few months have been “quite stressful” at the company., but insisted that at the time he felt his purchase was the right thing to do. The workload means that “sometimes I sleep in the office,” Musk added, according to Efe.
He also hit out at Twitter’s decision to tag the BBC’s main account, describing it as a “government-funded media outlet”, something that worried the British channel, which always defends its news impartiality. “I know the BBC is generally not enthusiastic about being labeled as a government newspaper,” Musk said.
In regards to Twitter’s financial situationMusk said that the company is now at a “point of balance” and that most advertisers have returned, after many decided to withdraw when the businessman took over the social network, Efe gathers.
Musk has an estimated personal fortune of nearly $190 billion, making him one of the richest people in the world.
