Carbonell runs the elite category of the Isthmian tournament

After the dispute of the first 36 holes, Raúl Carbonell remains at the top of the Elite category with 142 shots at the traditional Isthmian golf tournament.

Isthmian played his first two rounds of 36 holes this weekend, having an ace organize Mantarraya Golf Club and Vista Mar Golf Beach & Marina courses.

The championship, the most prestigious national golf tournament, which has been held since 1918, will be held this year in 6 categories, Elite, A, B, C, D and Ladies, each in gross and net categories.

Elite category, APAGOLF TOUR he played his first round on the course on Saturday Mantarraya Golf Club and Sunday at Vista Mar Golf Beach & Marina, led by solid and consistent play both days by Raúl Carbonello who posted cards of 71 and 72 respectively for a total of 140 strokes (E); accompanied by Omar Tejeira (+7), Mike Dunne (+8), Ernesto Durán (+9) and tied for fifth at 12 shots over PAR, Michael Méndez and Jean Paul Ducruet.

On the other hand, the following gross results were achieved in other categories, Category A led by Ricardo Cardoza (+17), who completes the Top 5, Carlos Sacre Jr. and David Cardoze (+20), Nelson Ruíz (+22); and Fernando Troitiño and Pedro Escudero (+23). For its part, category B is led by Rodrigo Alomía (+26), followed by Juan Pablo Pardo (+30), Christian Kramer (+37), Jorge Ávila (+39) and Miguel Zubieta (+40).

The Isthmian 2023 C category is led by Ricardo Barrios (+36), followed by Andrés Guzmán (+39), tied for third with Fernando Cardoza and Alejandro González (+42) and completing the Top 5 Roberto Díaz (+44). In category D, Juan Vidal (+56) is currently in first place, followed by Boris Guerrero (+59); Javier Mayoral (+61), José Brito (+62) and tied for fifth place Carlos Barrios and Jorge Jusdado (+63).

Women’s categorylead by Alexa Rodríguez Calipolitti (+27) followed by Alessandra Arando (+31) and Degi Tsogdelger (+35).

Isthmian 2023 continues this weekend with Third round at Panama Golf Club, where after the completion of the first 54 holes a cut will be made for the final round of the championship to be played in the Santa Maria Golf Club and in which 50% of the best players in each category will participate.

Isthmian 2023 will award points withinl APAGOLF TOUR, World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) and MID-AM TOUR PANAMA.
