Panama, ready for a friendly match against Guatemala

Panama is facing Guatemala at PayPal Park in San José, California, United States of America, today at (19:00 hours, Panama time) in a friendly match, where both teams are looking to give their players a chance for future commitments.

National team of Panama for a friendly match against Guatemalawill not direct Thomas Christiansen coach of the senior team.

Christiansen will not be at the friendly match Panama and Argentina March 23.

Instead of Christiansen, the Panamanian lineup will be led by the coach of the U-20 and U-23 teams, Jorge Dely Valdes which arrives in the North American country with the base of the Panamanian team which is active in the Panama Football League (LPF) and some figures that play in the United States.

Dely Valdes brought to the face Guatemala base of U-23 players, also referring to the Maurice Revello tournament, formerly known as the Toulon tournament in France.

The Panama team, which consists of 20 players, has been reinforced by some footballers who are active in the NOW such as: Omar Alba (Real Monarchs), Omar Valencia (New York Red Bulls 2) and Carlos Harvey (Phoenix Rising FC), and the rest are invitations from the domestic league.

for his part, Guatemala is directed by Mexican Luis Fernando Tena and faces Panama as he tries to prepare his team for its commitment to the Concacafa League of Nations.

Chapín’s team will host French Guiana in a Nations League Group D match on March 27 at the Doroteo Guamuch Flores Stadium

The last time Panama faced Guatemala was on March 4, 2020 in a friendly match played at the Doroteo Guamuch Flores National Stadium.

On that occasion, the match ended with the victory of the Panamanian team (2-0) with goals from José Murillo and Edwin Aguilar.
