Banco Santander has been pegged for a dividend to try to boost its price and retain the favor of shareholders, who have long expected the entity to deliver on its promise to increase the portion of profits it allocates to fees (payment). after a few record earnings of HRK 9,605 million euros in 2022, the bank used its investor daywhich was held yesterday in London, announced that it will increase that percentage to 50% in the next three years (2023-2025)from the current 40%, which was the lowest figure among Ibex banks.
As for the payment corresponding to 2022, the entity will decide on the total cash dividend for the year at the next shareholders’ meeting on March 31 11.78 euro cents per share. There will also be a new share buyback program worth EUR 921 million.
