Geocanda Jurado reigns again in Aguadulce

For the second year in a row, Panamanian runner Geoconda Jurado won the 21 kilometer Sábado de Gloria Classic in Aguadulce, Coclé.

Chiricana won the race by stopping the clock in 1:35:48, bettering her 2023 mark of 1:36:12.

“My job was to work from less to more and maintain a constant pace. It was not easy, it was very difficult, but the goal was achieved,” said Jurado, who admitted that the first goal in the race in Aguadulce was to improve his time record last year and that was achieved.

Jurado added that the climate in this edition was very different from last year.
