Inequality in Panama closes the door to equality and inclusion

The social inequality that exists in Panama also encompasses the problem of achievement equity and inclusion which, according to experts, should occupy a central place in the development agenda.

The event highlighted direct and indirect economic benefits from the implementation of inclusive policiespresented by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and discussed the challenges and opportunities of the private sector in terms of inclusion and diversity, with the participation of experts from companies such as Diageo and Philips.

According to the “Diversity Wins” report prepared by McKinsey, which incorporates an inclusive gender perspective into the organization and develops diversity management policies, increases the chances of improving economic efficiency by 25% business.

On the other hand, research conducted by Deloitte University and Billie Jean King (BJKLI) for Identifying the issues affecting today’s diverse workforce revealed that 83% of millennials say they are actively involved in their work when they believe that the organization fosters an inclusive culture.
