The World Conference of Social Workers will help the country

This conference has been held all over the world since 1928 and it is the second time that it has been held in Latin America, so the wealth at the level of this region, in the academic field, in experiences in addition to representing an important economic injection for Panama, as the host country.

According to data from Panama Tourism Authority (ATP), Each visitor entering the country spends an average of $125 per day, an official economic projection that would result in an approximate revenue of $1,875,000.00.

This income will come from the cost contribution of each of the 2,500 expected visitors. In Panama, they stay in the country for an average of six days participate in the international meeting of social workers.

This conference is held with the support of three world associations, International Federation of Social Work (IFSW), International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW)and the International Council for Social Welfare (ICSW) associations representing more than 4 million social science professionals and students.

This year, Panama becomes the venue for this event, which promises to be the most important meeting held in Central America for professionals in the social sciences and humanities, since it is the first time that it is held in a single country in the region.
