He Presidential debate on tourism will be held on Wednesday April 3with the confirmation of seven ambitious candidates, in the headquarters of Parlatina, he announced National Tourist Chamber of Panama (Camtur).

Presidential debate “Sustainable tourism, an obligation of the state” strives to elevate tourism to state public policy, promoting the best practices of sustainable tourism.

Today in the morning, the places of candidates for participation in three rounds of questions and answers determined in the format of the presidential debate in which representatives of 7 newspapers participated were drawn.

It was announced that the event will start at at 7:30 a.m. and will end at 9:00 p.m., at the headquarters of Parlatina, in Amador, Ancón district, and will be developed in the organization of Camtura.

For Ovidio Diazpresident of Camtura, this event seeks to make the presidential candidates aware of the needs and pledge to give tourism all the necessary attention and thus strengthen the industry so important to national development.

Also, efforts are being made to establish a supervisory commission that will monitor the development of the assumed obligations of the elected President of the Republic at quarterly meetings.

“Today we are taking this first step in an effort to convey to you, with the voice of the main players in the industry, gathered within the National Tourism Chamber of Panama, what are the needs to create permanent and well-paid jobs,” said Antonio José Alfaro, president of the Commission for Organizing the Debate.

This event was attended by the envoy Mr Election Court, Jackie Bernas an observer of the lot.

Each campaign representative received a list of central axes on which the presidential debate on tourism will focus.
