Carlos Xavier Quiroz and Luis Machuca, of Águilas Metropolitanas, finished as the ‘Champion of the Champion’ and the ‘Champion of the Champion’ of the Panamanian Professional Baseball League.
Quiroz hit .392 with 20 hits in 51 at-bats, with seven RBIs, six runs scored, three doubles and one hit in 12 games.
While Machuca was relentless, with a 0.52 ERA, in 17 innings, allowing four runs, one home run, walking five and striking out 17. He finished with a 3-0 record.
For their part, in the department of goals from the four corners, the best were Christian Bethancourt and Allen Córdoba, both players of Federales de Chiriquí.
In the regular season, Bethancourt finished with a .333 average in eight games, with seven RBIs and three runs scored.
