Brazil with three days of mourning for the death of Mario Zagallo

Brazilian President, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, has designated this Saturday a three-day official mourning in the country, in memory of Mário Jorge Lobo Zagallothe only winner of four world football championships in history who died last night at the age of 92.

“In memory of the eternal MAryan Jorge “Lobo” Zagallo, “An official three-day mourning has been declared in the country,” the president wrote on his social networks, where he mourned the death of the legend of world football a few hours earlier.

“He was one of the greatest football players and coaches of all time, a great winner and a symbol of love for the team and Brazil“, Lula wrote.

The president also highlighted his role as coach of “the greatest football team in history, the Brazilian team from 1970”, and said that he is one of the best examples of “a Brazilian who never gives up”.

Zagallo He died at the age of 92 and to this day is the only football figure who has four World Cups in his personal record.
