Panamanian Miniel promises to show his quality against Fabra

Panamanian boxer Jonathan Miniel was not surprised by his opponent, Colombian Luis Fabra, with a view to their 135-pound, six-round fight today at the Pandeportes Fighting Center in Juan Díaz.

Miniel made the weight limit, Fabra 133 pounds, for the all-star fight of the “Patio Boxing Night” card hosted by Laguna Premium Boxing.

The Panamanian who was part of the national Olympic boxing team (amateur) said that he believes in his preparation and the quality of his boxing.

With an undefeated score of 3-0 (3KO), Miniel adds that he is ready to fight, that he has no reference to Fabra 7-5 (4KO), but that tonight he will show his “high range”, his quality in the ring, “I believe in his preparation,” he repeated.

The Isthmus boxer trained by Rigoberto Garibaldi, who fights at 130 pounds, admitted that this fight will be at 135, but he feels strong, fast and ready to fight.

According to Miniel, the experience he gained in the Panamanian amateur boxing team helped him and although he won his three fights quickly, two of them in the Dominican Republic, he is not confident, the knockout is a situation that comes on its own and if he is given the opportunity against Fabra, he will use it, he explained.

In the “Boxeo del Patio” card, the WBA Continental title will be fought at 108 pounds and 10 rounds, where Juan Coronel of Colombia stopped the scales at 107 pounds and his opponent from Puerto Rico, Jedrier Reyes made 106 3/4 pounds.

In the second fight, but at 112 pounds and 4 rounds, Ángel Bethancourt reached the weight limit and Aris Rodríguez at 108.

Hugo Vásquez and Eliecer Arcia hit the 122-pound limit for their 4-round fight.

In the women’s bout at 126 pounds, 4 rounds, Yaneth Otero made 124 1/4 pounds and Yaremis Reluz stopped the Roman at 122 1/2 pounds. Three more fights complete the card.
