Jim Leyland elected to the Hall of Fame

He former leader Jim Leyland has was selected this Sunday to be part of the 2024 class that will enter the Major League Hall of Fame.
Leyland was elected in the election for Committee for non-players of the modern era, is celebrated today in Nashville, Tennessee.

The former manager was selected in his first appearance on the ballot, where he shared the floor with fellow former managers Cito Gaston, Davey Johnson and Lou Piniello.

Leyland coached Pi for 22 seasonsPittsburgh Rats, Florida Marlins, Colorado Rockies and Tigersfrom Detroit.

The 79-year-old strategist participated in the postseason eight times, advanced to two World Series, and in 1997 was crowned with Miami Marlins ae, in which they surpassed the Indians of Cleveland (now Guardians) in seven games.

Leyland aimed at Barry Bonds Major League Baseball’s all-time home run hitter and seven-time MVP award winner.
