Alliance vs. Tauro and CAI vs. Sporting, semi-finals

Panama football already has its semi-finalists, Alianza will face Taura, previously Sporting has already qualified and will have to face CAI Chorreran, the two-time champion of the Panama Football League (LPF), both keys will be played in a round robin.

Alianza won 5-4 on penalties against San Francisco from the penalty spot, after a 1-1 draw in extra time, this Wednesday night in the Clausura 2023 “playoffs”, held at the Estadio Agustín “Muquita” Sánchez from La Chorrera.

The green team led by Colombian Jair Palacios will have to face Taura on Sunday, November 26 at the Javier Cruz School Stadium at 16:00 in the first leg.

In the match against San Francisco, Alianza opened the scoring with the masterful play of Reyniel Perdom, who scored in the 26th minute and created an atmosphere of passion in the stadium.

However, San Francisco was not far behind and fought tirelessly to equalize. After a tight second half, they managed to achieve their goal thanks to the skill of Isaías Soto, who scored the equalizer in the 54th minute.

With the score tied at the end of regular time, the match went into a tense penalty shootout.

Alianza did not give up with an exceptional performance of penalties and won a place in the semi-finals of the Clausura LPF Tigo tournament (4-5).

CAI vs. Sports

The second semi-final will be played by Sporting San Miguelito against CAI de La Chorrera this Saturday at Los Andes Stadium at 18:00.

Sporting qualified for the semi-finals by eliminating Herrera FC in the “Playoff” with goals from Gabriel “Gaby” Torres and Yair Hurtado.
